Des Anderson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Des Anderson, loving and supportive husband of Kate Anderson (Butson), son of Betty (Ford) and the late Don Anderson of Prescott. Des, 63 years of age, passed away peacefully at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in the presence of family after a brief and courageous fight with cancer. Des is survived by his siblings Debbie (late John), Patti (Chris), Tom (Lateacher) and Ken, and was predeceased by Bob; he will be lovingly missed by his many nieces and nephews: Amy, Marlee, Dana, Joey, Nicole, Bob, Sarah, Shiane, Gunnar, Jayden and he has always been grateful for his many friendships. Des will always be remembered as a patient, kind, genuine and hard-working man with a passion for music, golf, fishing, and hockey (Go Flames Go!).

Professional arrangements have been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew and a celebration of Des's life will take place at Karras' Way Restaurant (downtown Renfrew), on Saturday, February 26th, starting at 1p.m. - a cash bar will be offered. In order to attend this celebration, proof of vaccination and identification will be mandatory as well as masks or face coverings.
