Gregory Hughes Obituary

Passed away at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie ON on Monday October 24, 2022, Greg Hughes, 69 years of age. Beloved husband of Kathryn Sharpe, cherished Dad of Carly Barnes (Shane) and loved brother of Pam Langen (Ron). Greg spent early years on the Big Rideau and often spoke of Christmas, holidays and summers spent in Portland. He was the grandson of the late Harry and Marjorie Seward and his late parents were Sheila (Seward) and Lin Hughes. Greg was the prior owner of the Town and Country Motel in Parry Sound for over 25 years. Pup Willow will miss their long walks together. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Rest easy dear cousin.

Carly, I first remember meeting you and your dad while practicing for the Dragon Boat races - team Northland. You and Adrienne became best friends and although I did not spend much time with your dad I only ever heard Adrienne speak highly of him. The speech he gave at your wedding was so touching, you were the apple of his eye and he would have done anything for you. I´m sure you will feel his love every day in some small reminder.
