James Lawrence Spencer

Peacefully at Lanark Lodge on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at the age of 83. Cherished father of William James Spencer (Sherry), and William Anthony Spencer (Erin). Survived by his siblings Diane Weatherall (late Vic), Kathleen Giff, Sylvia Barrett (late Eric), and Thomas Spencer (Linda). Remembered fondly by his grandchildren Cynthia Schnarr (Rodney), Richard Lomax, and Tristan Spencer. Predeceased by his infant son Sean Robert Spencer, and his parents Lawrence William Spencer of Lanchester, England, and Wilemena Adelaide Spencer (nee Sales) of Lansdowne, Ontario. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
As per James' wishes, cremation has taken place. A graveside service and interment will take place at Merrickville Union Cemetery on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will follow the interment at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 95 in Smiths Falls. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated.
