Kathleen Campbell Obituary

(nee Casey)
Passed away peacefully at home with her loving husband and two daughters by her side on March 10, 2022. Beloved wife and partner of 58 years to Bob Campbell. Loving Mom to Kerri-Ann (Glenn Rintoul) and Karen (Bill Bolger). She will be missed by her cherished grandchildren Chelsea Rath (Travis Rath), Jenna Rintoul (Cody Freemark), Bobby Raycroft (Lindsay Abercrombie), Marcia Bolger (Tyler Tierney), Vivien Bolger and great-grandchildren Rosalynn and Wesley. Daughter of the late Frank and Doris Casey. Sister to Bev (Jim), Doris (late David) and Ricky (late Cheryl). Predeceased by her sisters Joyce and Patricia (late Leo). Kathy was born on August 3, 1944, in Ottawa. In 1964 she married her long-time sweetheart, Bob. After spending their teen years at "the cottage" on Mississippi Lake, they decided to settle in Carleton Place and purchased their first home. Kathy dedicated her life to her family, fiercely supporting them throughout their lives. She was an integral part of raising her grandchildren and shaping them into the wonderful and loving people they are today. Kathy was blessed to have two beautiful great-grandchildren who brought a smile to her face and a sparkle to her eye every time they were near. Her loving devotion to her family will be a legacy that will continue in all of us. As our much-loved nanny would have reminded us, "Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened!" A special thank you to Doctor Steven Walker and Nurse Bev for their support. A huge thank you to the Almonte Civitan for providing the necessary hospital equipment to ensure exceptional care for our nanny. As per Kathy's wishes, there will be no service held. For those who wish, a donation to the Carleton Place Hospital NEW Emergency Department would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, Carleton Place. www.barkerfh.com
