Kenneth SCHOOLEY Obituary

Died peacefully with no regrets on March 26, 2022 after a long and happy life of 89 years. Born in Hull, Quebec on January 9, 1933 to his parents, Rhea Simone (nee Kingsbury) and Gerald Francis Schooley. He was the eldest son of six children, his brothers Hugh, Gary, and Philip, and his sisters Ellen and Jean. Devoted husband of 69 years to Marjorie (nee Gilbert). Loving father to David and Jerri. Grandfather to Allana, Alexis, Caitlin, Brittany, Bradley, and Heather Great-grandfather to Michelle, James, Maxwell, Madeline, Henry and Hazel.
Ken graduated from the Engineering program at Ryerson Institute of Technology in 1958. He had a distinguished career of 31 years with Cimco Refrigeration, retiring in 1989 as an Engineering Manager. Ken was a man who was truly comfortable in his own skin. He had a love of nature and a reverence for new life, whether it was watching his grandchildren grow or his garden seedlings sprout. An avid reader with a desire to keep current on world events, he always had an opinion. He had a dry sense of humour, which was still evident in his last days. His happiest time was building their retirement home and when that was done, he loved tinkering about the house and garage working on one of his numerous projects. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Many thanks to Dr. Boersma and staff at Arnprior Hospital.
Ken's care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior. A Tribute to Ken will be webcast live on Saturday, April 23rd at 11am.

Uncle Ken was a wonderful man. Him and Aunt Marji were always fun to be around we loved visiting with them.
