Mary Rose "Mayme" MERCHAND

MERCHAND, Mary Rose ""Mayme"" Mary peacefully passed away at Country Haven, Almonte on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 with family and friends by her side at the age of 88 years. Jack and Mary raised their family in Dacre. She was the postmaster for Dacre and Douglas for many years and ran the operation from their family home. Mary always was up for a game of cards and was very community oriented. Proud Mom of Debbie, Arthur, Albert and Andy. Mary was loved by her ten grandchildren and her six great-grandchildren. Much loved sister to Bob Hanniman, Viola Merchand and Joan Hanniman. Mary will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and good friends. Special thanks to nurses and staff at Country Haven for their exceptional care and compassion. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Mount St. Patrick on Friday, August 16th at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Esmonde.
