Paul William HICKS

HICKS, Paul William 1993 - 2019 Paul passed away peacefully at home September 10, 2019 with family by his side. Greatly loved by his parents David and Barb Hicks, and his siblings Greg, Shannon and Kevin. Sadly missed by his girlfriend Victoria Gagnon. Grandson to Dr. Allen Hicks and predeceased by his grandparents Mary Hicks, as well as Frederick Gardiner and Connie Johnson. Paul leaves a large extended family including many aunts and uncles, as well as twenty cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will greatly miss him. Predeceased by his uncle Howie Hicks and cousin Daniel Johnson. Paul attended Smiths Falls schools and graduated from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Life Sciences in 2015, and was attending New England College of Optometry in Boston. Following his Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) diagnosis twenty four months ago, Paul diligently pursued conventional and alternative treatments in Boston, Ottawa and Germany, nearly completing his third year of studies, and travelled to many locations, including Korea, Europe, the Yukon and Newfoundland.
