Robert WILSON Obituary

Robert "Bob" Barclay Wilson
1946 - 2022
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Bob, with great courage and on his chosen date, passed away peacefully at the Carleton Place Memorial Hospital while surrounded by loved ones on June 17, 2022. Bob was in his 76th year. Beloved father of James "Jim", Robert "Rob" (Lori Ouderkirk), Leisa (Dan) Barber, and Melissa Whitney. Cherished and much loved grandpa of 10 grandchildren. Dear brother of Lloyd (late Mary), Lorna (Wayne) Affleck, Wendy (Carl Mitchell) Healey, and Derek. Son of the late Lorne and Audrey (Portioues). Bob was also predeceased by his brother Gordon and sister Nancy Fielding. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and so many wonderful friends. Bob will also be lovingly remembered by Diane Wilson Sheppard and brother-in-law Dennis Fielding.
Bob was born August 2, 1946, in Almonte, Ontario and raised in Carleton Place. Bob was very private, kindhearted and a very thoughtful person. He lived life to the fullest and his way. Bob loved his trips to the casino. Bob will be missed by all his card sharks at 105 Elizabeth Street and his chair at the puzzle table now sits empty. Thank you to Dr. Laskey and staff at Carleton Place Memorial Hospital for their quality of care and affection. A special thank you to Bob's cherished and devoted friend, Laura Whitney, for all your companionship and loving care. We would also like to thank Ernie and Dory Anne Nolan for their special friendship and care of Bob. As per Bobs' wishes all arrangements are private. In memory, please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of Your Choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Alan R.Barker Funeral Home in Carleton Place www.barkerfh.com
