Willard DOWDALL

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on April 20, 2023, in his 76th year. Willie was the loving husband and best friend of Arlene (Whalen), the cherished father of Lisa (Paul) and Scott (Tracy), and the adored poppa of Mason (Emilly) and Madison (Griffin). He was the dear brother of Elmer, Barb (Jim England), Junior (JoAnne), Ron (Lynn), Jerry (Anita), Orville (Janet), Debbie (Brent Hackett), Dwayne (Jocelyn), Steven (Susan), Bonnie (Jeff Stead), and Bobby. He will be sadly missed by his sisters-in-law Diane and Janey, Marilyn (Eric) Gault; his brother-in-law Pete Mazzei (the late Carol). Predeceased by his father and mother Sanford and Lenora (St. Pierre), as well as his brothers Wib, Dave (Chris), Donnie, and sisters Mary (Howard) Greer and Patricia (Bob) Pratt, sisters-in-law Bev (Chum) Cleary, Linda Whalen and George Morrison. He will also be missed by Kyle and Andrew Hermer, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and friends. Willie's life was devoted to his family and friends and his lifelong passion for cutting firewood and working in the bush. Willie leaves behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, love, and his respect for the outdoors; please feel free to plant a tree in his honour. Those wishing are asked to consider a donation to the Canadian Lung Association in Willie's memory. Cremation has taken place as per Willie's wishes and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
