ARTHUR EDWIN PENNER
May 21, 1934 - May 5, 2003
Art passed away peacefully on May 5, 2003. Lovingly remembered by his sons Doug (Sheila) of Pritchard, BC and Allan of Kamloops; his daughter Debbie (Wayne) of Fort St. John; 5 grandchildren, Mike, Leanna, Jack, Doug, and Spencer; 3 step grandchildren Shane, Samantha and Brittany; brothers Bernard (Marg) Penner of Oliver, BC, Wes (Lorraine) Penner of Maple Ridge, BC, Jim (Joy) Penner of North Vancouver, and David (Cathy) Penner of Langley, BC; sisters Margaret (Lloyd) Butters of Coquitlam, BC, Viola (Fred) Doerfler of Nelson, BC, and Darlene (Allan) Tittley of Langley, BC; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Art was born in Fairholm, Saskatchewan and lived most of his life in Kamloops. He was a proud member of the International Operating Engineers, Local 115, since 1959. Art, the man who loved his family with all his heart. He was a man of strong integrity, honesty and caring, and had a heart of gold.
Construction work was his life, his dog "Shultz" was his travelling buddy, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. His family and friends meant more than you know ... and now it is time to let him go ... Dad ... (Art) you will be missed.
Please join us to celebrate his life at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. An Open House will be held at the Moose Hall, 406 Fortune Drive following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in Art's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1633 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC V1Y 1P6.
