I have a heavy heart saying good bye to my friend and work mate Brian (or Rock as we called him back in Selkirk College).
I first met Brian and his family in Nelson BC while attending the Millwright Apprenticeship course in 1975. We hit off right from the start and became life long friends.
We were both hired by Gibraltar Mine in Mcleese Lake after graduation and we started our Millwright Apprenticeship journey together.
After a couple years living in Williams Lake I eventually moved in with Brian, Brenda Tammy and Tracy, they were like family.
What a beautiful time in my life this was, living with the Ericksons. Our card games were legendary, 500, 9-5-2, Crib, Rummy,  Hearts and more... so many laughs always.
I visited Brian a couple of months ago in Sparwood and it was like old times. Even though it had been a few years since we last saw each other in Logan Lake.
True friendship endures distance and I was so glad I got to see my good buddy once again.
Even though Brian was having health issues he had a still that stiff upper lip and positive outlook and told me life was still "gooder"!
I miss you my friend, till we meet again over Kokanne.
RIP
