Brian Weipert Obituary
Brian, was born July 24, 1951 in New Westminster and passed away in Vancouver March 21, 2005. Brian is pre-deceased by his father Theodore Weipert and two nephews, Denny Winiandy and Darren Weipert. Brian will be sadly missed by his mother Alice Weipert, wife Sharon and daughters Serena (Dean Lamberton), Pamela (Ian Sych), Tanya, and granddaughter Alyssa. Brian was the 6th child of thirteen and will be remembered by brothers Raymond (Fern), Robert (Donna), Orville (Marion), Melvin (Alma), Garry, Keven (Nena), Barry (Reyna) and sisters Therese (Vern Sandlan), Marilyn Hedberg (Randall Hunder), Gale (Myles Hunder), Cathy Weipert (Wayne Wager), Doris (Richard Morrow) as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Brian grew up in East Doe River, in the Peace Country. In 1975 he married Sharon. They lived in Dawson Creek and had three girls. In 1987 they moved to the interior and Brian bought his first "Mack" truck and became a "long hauler". They bought a home in Kamloops in 1989 and continued to raise their family. Brian loved being around his friends and was very family orientated. He spent lots of quality time with his wife and girls on weekends and holidays. They loved camping, quading, snowmobiling, boating, hunting and working on the truck together.
In 2002 Brian fulfilled his dream of owning his own trucking company, Brian W. Weipert Trucking. He drove his truck and dispatched until his illness prevented him from driving in late 2003. He continued dispatching until February 2005 when he was admitted into St. Paul's and sadly passed away.
Brian loved many and was loved by many. He cherished his family and friends.
Although Brian is no longer with us in person he has left us with numerous memories and warm thoughts to keep his spirit alive.
There will be a memorial service at Our Lady of Lourdes in Heffley Creek on April 9, at 11:00 am.
