David Venables Obituary

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Neil Venables of Kamloops, BC on November 24, 2020.

After a very short battle with cancer he is no longer suffering. In spite of his severe pain his "FAITH" remained strong. Dave was surrounded by his loving family as we celebrated his Heavenly Graduation. Truly a treasure in Heaven. We "ALL" look forward to seeing him again.

Dave will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by his wife Valerie, his daughter Rachelle Dudley (Steve), his son Shayne Venables (Blair), his grandsons Dylan and Devin Dudley, his brother Bruce Venables (Maureen), and brothers-in-law Bob Riley (Teresa), Allan Riley (Sharmeen), and Rick Riley (Kathy). Dave will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, co-workers, and friends.

We would like to thank Dr. Peter Loland and all the wonderful staff of 5-South for all their kindness and care.

When it is safe to do so we will hold a Celebration of Life in Dave's honour.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made
to the BC Cancer Foundation at www.bccancerfoundation.com or Impact Ministries at www.impactministries.ca/donate/.

Dave is missed by everyone, I miss the chats we would have about the loves of our lives, family, children, dogs, food, travel and anything that we would babble on about. Dave would always take time out of his day to talk (listen) and make you felt seen and heard. Dave was a happy, hardworking, inspiring person. Whenever a song comes on at work and I sing along with it, it will always remind me of Dave. My heart goes out to your family. God bless

I was in Saveon Foods a short while ago and didnt see Dave tending to the the vegetables. I thought it odd at the time because I can barely remember a time I didnt see him there. Seems Dave skipped retirement to enjoy ever lasting life. I suppose Dave is tending to the most beautiful vegetables grown in Gods own garden in heaven. Daves obituary has brought a tear to my eye, most do not. But when a good man like Dave is no longer with us the world seems a little colder. Good Speed Dave. A walk down the produce isle wont be the same without you.

We are saddened to hear of Dave's passing. We remember both Dave and you Val as great examples of a Godly husband and wife and a friend to anyone who would cross your paths. Carol still has all of the big pickle jars Dave brought home and you gave her over 25 years ago. We know the Jesus has you and your family safely wrapped in His loving arms. Carol and Glen Switzer
