Evelyn Robertson Obituary
EVELYN VIOLET ROBERTSON
March 21, 1921 - April 14, 2003
Evelyn was born in Vancouver, B.C. on the first day of Spring in 1921. She loved the ocean and eventually she and her husband James Robertson moved to White Rock so they could enjoy walks on the beach, the chatter of seagulls and the taste of fresh fish and chips. After the death of her husband, Evelyn moved to Kamloops to be closer to her family.
Evelyn's love of life showed in the beautiful flowers she grew, the cookies she baked and the treasures she knit, but most of all in the laughter she shared. Her wonderful sense of humor touched everyone she met. Evelyn also had a soft spot for animals and they flourished in her care.
Evelyn will be greatly missed but leaves many happy memories with her son and daughter (in-law) Dennis & Win Robertson; grandchildren Sheila & Dan Lockwood, Cory & Marci Robertson, Tyler & Pam (Taylor) Robertson and great-grandchildren Jake & Luke, Joshua & Alex, Erin, Katie & Ben.
A special thank you to Dr. Doug Hamilton and the nursing staff at R.I.H. for their care and kindness.
A gathering in memory of Evelyn's life will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 2 p.m. at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive.
Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation, 311 Columbia St., Kamloops, V2C 2T1 or the S.P.C.A., 1211-8th Street, Kamloops, V2B 2Y3 in memory of
Evelyn Robertson.
