Our mother was born in Prelate, Saskatchewan on February 2, 1918. Previous to coming to Kamloops in 1967, she spent many years as a farmer?s wife. She worked in Kamloops at her cousin?s Ziebarts Restaurant, Saan Store and Floorlay sewing draperies. Fena was very devoted to her family, friends and church. Her passions in life were many including playing bridge, solving crossword puzzles, and spending time with family. She was President of the Legion of Mary at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Sacred Heart Cathedral. She was a member of the Catholic Women?s League. She made regular visits to the sick and infirm always taking homemade soup or baked goodies to them. She volunteered at Ponderosa Lodge up until she was 80 years old. Her love and caring for others and her strong faith in God will always be cherished by all those who knew and loved her. Her soul is now alive in heaven being bathed in the glory and love of Jesus.
Special thanks to Doctors Newhouse and Stefanyk and all the staff at Royal Inland Hospital, especially those in emergency and 3 south. Thank you to Father Derrick for his daily visits to mom in bringing the Holy Eucharist. Also thank you to the many friends who prayed for her.
