In Loving Memory of
Geoffrey Newsome Cusworth
1921-2006
On Thursday April 20, 2006 Geoffrey (Geoff) Newsome Cusworth passed away
peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital at the age of 84 years.
Dad has now joined his daughter Sybil who passed away on October 12, 2005.
Geoff is survived by his loving family; wife of 58 years Beryl, sons; Colin (Sharon) of
Kamloops, Roland (Maida) and their son Alexander all of Ottawa, Michael (Shayla) and
their children Alyssa and Darien of Abbotsford, daughter Carol (Jack) Schaffer of
Vavenby and their children Tasha (Cory) Jensen of Clearwater and Dale of England, granddaughter Jazmynn Post and her children Kat, Mukiya, Keanau, and Chantilly of Victoria.
Geoff was born August 15, 1921 in Doncaster England and immigrated to Canada in June
of 1953.
Geoff served with the Royal Fusiliers during WW II. His working life included farming
in England, a sawmill worker on the Island and a carpenter for over 30 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday April 25, 2006 in the Chapel of
Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 177 Tranquille Rd.
The family would like to thank Dr. Baker, Dr. Kincaid and the nurses of 3 West for their
compassion and caring through Geoff?s final journey.
In Geoff?s Memory we wish that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to
the Variety Club.
