I'll never forget our meeting Verne. The first person we met when moving to Kamloops. It was a hot summer day and we made a wrong turn onto the bridge and then tried to turn around from the trailer park at the north end. This fellow, basking in a lawn chair, waved us to a stop and engaged us with a beer and conversation that kept us in Kamloops forever. His humour, stories and general folksy charity, expressed through a constant smile won us a longstanding friend. He is a loss to all who knew him, Phil. Our deep condolences.

By grace, a patient comes into your life who leaves behind an imprint. We were blessed to have been called his family doctor. He modelled for us love for others, love for his wife and family, love for his friends and love for God. You are close in our thoughts and prayers.

We are so sorry for your loss. You both welcomed us into your home as a young couple away from out family. You became family to us and we are so grateful to you both. Kurt so enjoyed chatting with Verne and sharing their fun stories. We are thinking of you and sending you our love and a big hug.

So sorry to hear of Bucks passing, our heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. We will miss his unique humour. He was always entertaining at the Churchill or Falkland get togethers.

Buck & I were neighbors & we became friends. We would prowl through the woods & explore old deserted cabins. These were usually old one-room log cabins. We remained friends all our lives. We both had birthdays in October & we called each other on them. We did visit Phil & him when we were up that way. I am so glad he had Philomena. She kept him very happy. We adored her too. I shall miss our Birthday calls.
