Every once in a while someone enters your life and has a profound effect on you. Their integrity, ethics and sense of humour make you want to emulate them. Their love and friendship is something to be cherished.
On May 24, 2004, Mr. George Fox passed away peacefully at Kamloops Marjorie Snowden Hospice House at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his wife Barbara of 40 years marriage and three sons Dan (Denise) of Oakville, Ontario, Tom (Sandy) of Kamloops and Michael (Deborah) of Armstrong, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Charlie and Ted (Mary).
Born in Guelph, Ontario, George spent the last 37 years in Kamloops. As a contributing member of the Valleyview Kiwanis Club, he held the distinctions of Kiwanis of the Year, President and Lt. Governor of Kiwanis International.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 11:00 am. at the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Should friends desire, donations to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, BC, V2E 2S9, or the Canadian Cancer Society, 685 Victoria Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2B3, in memory of George would be appreciated.
