Howard Pease Obituary
Howard (Howie) Frederick Pease
Aug.14, 1919 - April 19, 2003
Beloved husband of Daphne. Howard will be missed by Daphne's children and grandchildren. He will also be missed by his sister Edith, her daughter Jane, and his nephew Len and family and all those who got to know and love him.
Howard was predeceased by his wife Mona (Melinchuk), his sister Phyllis and brothers Irving and George.
Howard's great passion in life was his racquetball (he had played handball and racquet ball for over 50 years) which he played until he was 73 and had serious heart problems. He also enjoyed dancing and was known to be on the floor all evening. Howard will be remembered for always being such a loving, caring gentleman.
Howard was born in Toronto and returned there after serving as a leading Aircraftman with RCAF being stationed on Queen Charlotte Island during WWII. Howard lived in Toronto until 1993 when he and Daphne moved to BC.
I wish to thank Dr. Sigalet for his understanding, compassion and care of Howard, the staff of Ponderosa Lodge, especially his caregivers on the 3rd floor who took such good care of him, and the hospice volunteers.
With respect to Howard's wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the Pines, Ponderosa Lodge, 425 Columbia Street, Kamloops on Saturday, April 26, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Variety Club (the Children's Charity), 4300 Still Creek Drive, Burnaby, BC V5C 6C3 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
Arrangements entrusted to Schoening Funeral Service, telephone 374-1454.
