John Lindsay Obituary

John Smith Lindsay passed away peacefully at his home in Salmon Arm, B.C. on August 1, 2009.

He was born in Kelvington, Saskatchewan on September 5, 1923.  He was a long time resident of Salmon Arm and loved the Shuswap area.  

John loved life and he lived it well.  He was very active and had a special love for horses.  He was also an accomplished athlete, who won many medals in the numerous sporting events he attended over his lifetime.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy-Lee, his siblings, Marion (Claire) Inseth, Chuck (Juanita) Lindsay, and many nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his brothers; Bud, Jimmy, Bob, and Joe, his sisters Herselene, Christine, and Ida. 

A Memorial Service for John will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009, 2:00 pm, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witness, with Ron Poustie officiating. 

Arrangements are in the care of Bowers Funeral Home and Crematorium, Salmon Arm.
