Margaret Jane Wood passed away peacefully on February 12, 2004. She was born March 23, 1910. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years Edgar Wood on April 13, 1987, her sister Annie in 1999 and her three brothers Ed, Tom and Willie. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her family, daughter Anna Evenrude (Kirk), grandchildren Patricia Gellatly, Marshall Gellatly (Tammy) and great grandchildren Kylie and Tyler Gellatly. As well, she is survived by two sisters, Rae Martin and Mary Berglund (Len) and many nieces and nephews, and their families. She was a very dear aunt to Edgar Wood (Rhoda), Margaret Blair (Robert), Verna Zawaduk (Tony), Ernest Wood (Tina), Molly Dieno (Don) and Dennis Wood.
Margaret lived most of her life in North Delta on the lower mainland and moved to Kamloops in December 1993. She was a resident of Ponderosa Lodge since August 1997. The family wish to express a sincere Thank You to the staff at Ponderosa, Dr. Boughton and volunteers for their loving care. Margaret was content and happy there.
A Memorial Service will be held at Ponderosa Lodge Chapel on Sunday, February 15, 2004 at 3:30 p.m.
