It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pat Charron on August 25th at the age of 77 years, after a brave battle with collagenous colitis. Pat was born in Dunrobin, Ontario and grew up in Manotick Station, Ontario. After marrying Bill they moved across Canada and to Europe, while Bill was with the RCAF. Pat worked at Land Titles Office in Kamloops until her retirement July 1991. Pat leaves behind her beloved husband Bill of 52 years, daughters Cathy, (Bruce) Skorobohach of Calgary, Cindy, (Sandy) McIvor of Rocky Mountain House, Heather Charron, (Peter Brenner) of Calgary. Six grandchildren, Michael and Cayley Skorobohach, Christopher, Alexandra, Orrie McIvor, Camille (Chris) Jardine. And one great grandson Lawson Jardine. Pat was an active member of the quilting guild; enjoyed sewing, crocheting, curling, dancing and swimming as well as belonging to the Irish Culture Society, Pat was a supporting member of Bill?s RCAF Association membership.
Pat enjoyed surprise visits from friends who stopped in for coffee and some laughs, but her biggest joy was having her family at home for Christmas and other special occasions.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Father Derrick Cameron officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Crohn?s and Colitis Foundation of Canada, 21 St. Clair Avenue East Suite 30 1, Toronto, ON M4T 1L9 in memory of Pat.
