Muriel Lang Obituary
In the end is my beginning...
On Sunday, August 14, 2005, Ms. Muriel Eileen Lang passed away peacefully at the age of 66. She is survived and lovingly remembered by her daughter Gladys (Kevin) Elliott and two grandchildren, Kristel and Bailey of Kamloops, her brothers Vern (Ruth), Gordon (Jennifer), Wayne (Vera) Allan, and her sisters Doris (Murray) Scoyne, and Helen (John) Wesno, of Ontario. She is also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the community of Kamloops. She was predeceased by her parents Chester and Florence Allan. Muriel was born on April 26, 1939 in Guelph Ontario where she lived for a number of years. In 1958 she graduated from the Guelph Business College. She worked as a secretary with the department of Veteran Affairs and for the Department of National Defense. Since 1978 Muriel has made Kamloops her home. She volunteered her time with the Kamloops Mental Health Association, and was involved with the Free Methodist Centennial Chapel. Muriel was a ?tiny? lady with a ?big? desire for independence, and she fought a strong battle to ensure her right to just that! The family would like to acknowledge and thank the very caring and professional staff at Overlander Extended Care Home for helping Muriel to live and to die with dignity. In the end is her beginning... A memorial service will be held for Muriel Saturday at 11:00 a.m., August 20, 2005, at the Schoening?s Funeral Chapel. (513 Seymour Street, Kamloops, B.C.) Those wishing to do so may make a donation to the Kamloops Mental Health Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation, in Muriel?s name.
