PETER LAURENCE TRON
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of ?The King of Paul Lake?, ?Big Pete?, ?The Most Interesting Man in the World?. Beautiful, sweet, and loving dad of Jackie, Rama, and Sharon. Second father to Jason. Cherished grandad to Jackson, Griffin, and Ocean. Former spouse of Janis. Beloved brother to Beverly (William) and Patricia (Don). Uncle to Pam, Susan, Kathy, Barb, Bill Jr., Dale Wayne, Cheryl, Steven, and Paul. Co-master of Sage. Lover to a very special few. Friend to all.
Peter had very special connections to Pembroke, Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, and Kamloops. He was a fierce competitor in all sports....including the game of ?life?. He held a special place in his heart for The Hamilton Red Wings, The Ottawa Teacher?s College, The University of Guelph, The Cutten Club, Wilfrid Laurier University, The University of the College of the Cariboo (TRU), PASBC, Jani-King, the community of Paul Lake, The Kamloops Curling Club, and golf courses around the world. Peter was a deeply spiritual man who had a profound relationship with God.
Peter had a most generous, joyous, and loving heart, and it is symbolic that his heart failed him on Valentine?s Day - Monday February 14th, 2011, at the age of 67 years old, at his home in Paul Lake, BC. He has now joined his loving parents, Joseph Laurence Tron, and Mary Thyrza Tron (nee: Nichol) in a higher place.
A ?celebration? of Peter?s life will be held on Saturday February 26th, at Harper Mountain Ski Lodge (Kamloops, B.C.) from 5:00 - 8:00pm. A light supper will be served. Please bring your favourite photograph, song, and/or memory to share.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Peter?s honour to ?The University of Guelph Women?s Hockey Team? where he was an inspirational coach.
For those unable to attend Peter?s memorial, there will be a ?Peter Party? at Paul Lake this summer. (Details to be announced.)
Paul Lake was Peter?s ?special place? where he felt, and we believe he will continue to feel, his ultimate peace.
The family would like to thank all of Peter?s friends for their love and support during our grieving. We would like to especially thank Doug, Francine, Ken, Gail, Maria, and Nancy.
