Richard Askew Obituary
October 17, 1950 - May 9, 2017
One year has come and gone since we lost our beloved Richard. He was a man that lived with passion and showed up every day of his life. Always with that beautiful infectious smile. His life was cut tragically short but he lived a life full of joy and his spirit lives on in everyone that knew him. The family would like to thank all those who attended his "Celebration of life" it really was a happy event! Thank you to the Castlegar funeral home for their compassion and direction that made things easier. Special thanks to Simon Laurie for taking the time from his busy schedule to host the celebration and keep it all together. Thank you Simon for your inspirational message that everyone there took home with them. You were amazing!! Richard was smiling!!
When tomorrow starts without me;
And I'm not here to see,
If the sun should rise and find your eyes, Full of tears for me.
I wish so much you wouldn't cry,
The way you did today,
While thinking of the many things,
We didn't get to say
I know how much you love me,
As much as I love you,
And each time you think of me,
I know you miss me too
When tomorrow starts without me,
Don't think we are far apart,
For every time you think of me,
I'm right there in your heart
