Ronald Klassen Obituary

We sadly announce the passing of Ron Klassen, who passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Ron is survived by his beloved wife Kristy and his two loving and devoted daughters, Tracy and Dena (BJ) and granddaughter Kayleigh (his little Squirtness). Special friends Molly, Kitty, his sisters Laura, Joyce (Clarence), Linda (Darwin) and many in-laws, nieces and nephews from both the Klassen and Pringle families.

Ron was predeceased by his parents Abe and Mary Klassen and his sister Shirley.

Ron was born in Chilliwack on January 11, 1951 and moved to Kamloops soon after he met his soul mate Kristy. Ron worked in construction for years, his career changed to truck driving where he loved to travel as far as the Yukon and Ontario with Northern Trailer. He was a past member of the Kinsmen Club, Ron volunteered as an usher at Riverside Coliseum and was a big fan of the Blazers and helped out at KIBIHT.

Ron loved hockey, golfing, fishing, camping and family gatherings. Ron was a heart transplant recipient 4 ,? years ago and this gave him an extra 4 ,? years of life and was able to experience some very special times. Ron was able to meet his granddaughter Kayleigh who he loved and adored and sure knew how to make her laugh.

A Service of Remembrance will take place at 12:00 noon on Thursday July 12, 2007 at Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Sandra Sugden officiating.
