Sharon Bodor Obituary

On September 1st, 2023 we lost our beloved Mom, our hearts broke when hers stopped beating.

Sharon was born in Regina, SK. and moved with her family to Creston, BC as a young girl. She soon met her husband Joe, who swept her off her feet.

Sharon and Joe moved their young family to Kamloops in 1971, which became their forever home. Sadly she lost Joe to cancer in 2003.

She is survived by her 3 children, Kristie (Louis), Russ (Denyse) and Carla (Lorne). Her grandchildren were her true delight, Bryn, Michelle, Lane, Ashley and Keri. She was especially adored by her great-grandchildren, Daylia, Jack and Harvey, all will miss their GG.

Her family would like to invite all those who held Sharon close to a celebration of her life on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the North Shore Community Centre in Cottonwood Manor from 12 noon to 2pm.

Hi Carla, Kristie, Russell.
I´m very sorry to hear of your loss.
She had a very kind & mild in spirit.
A fond memory is a time when I had lunch at your house during school.
She made the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever!
I will always remember when my mom died , she sent her condolences to our family. That touched my heart deeply.

Hi Everybody
Please accept our sympathy on the death of Sharon. She worked for us at the Law Office and was a valued and faithful employee who along with Joe became good friends to us. We had many good times together in Kamloops and at the Shuswap.
Just a bit of humour--At one dinner party that we had at our place the Dishwasher went on the "Fritz" after dinner. It was around midnite when we discovered that it wouldn't work and Joe typically said, "we can fix this right now. So we poured ourselves another drink and took the thing apart-found the problem and turned it on. I don't think the others even realized that we were not at the party!!! Thank you for Joe And Sharon

I was a co-worker of Sharon's at Weyerhaeuser many years ago. She was the kindest person to me as a newbie and took me under her wing. Even after she retired, I would send a quick email to update her about all things Weyerhaeuser and the mutual people we worked with. I just spoke to her in June when she celebrated her birthday. She sounded as bright, chipper and happy as ever. I am sorry for your loss. She was a gem!
