Thomas Poulton Obituary
He will be lovingly remembered by his family; daughter Gaylene, sons Tom and Andrew and his cherished grandchildren Kayla, Joycelyn, Kaitlyn, Danielle, Devin and Alexander, and three great-grandchildren.
Tom was predeceased by his son Paul.
From a young age, Tom worked for the CNR Railway and loved to tell stories about his experiences.
He had a passion for tennis and made it his business to make the club a success. He served as president for ten years. Through strong determination, he was instrumental in making indoor tennis in Kamloops a reality. His role as tournament director and league organizer was much appreciated.
Tom was also an avid curler who enjoyed the skip position. He always looked forward to organizing and playing in bonspiels.
Tom did not care much for growing vegetables, however his flowers were the envy of all.
His many friends and acquaintances will miss his many stories and acts of kindness.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the Kamloops Tennis Club, 758 Lorne Street, Kamloops.
Donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kamloops Tennis Club.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tommy's family. I have fond memories of the Karpluk family visiting the Poultons during the Christmas holidays and during bonspeils. Later playing mixed doubles against him for 5 years, he always brought a smile to my wife and my faces.

My heart will Truly ache everyday that passes without you grandpa. You have been there for me since I was a teenager making bad decisions. You always guided me in the right direction even though I did not like hearing it sometimes. You were always there for me in the best and worst of times and I will never forget you. Mr Poulton (Tom) was an old family friend, since my childhood, most of all my dads buddy. I have to many memories to list spent with the Poulton family. Summers at Shuswap (Neil Diamond music) family New Years, even a few Christmases! Growing up with Joice, Tom and the kids was a blast and Fred my dad and Tom always made sure it wasn't boring! When I think of you Tom, I also miss my Dad, I hope you guy's meet up. Joice, Gaylene, Andy, Tommy and all the grandkids, family and friends Especially Suzanne. I am sorry for your loss.
