Tqeltkukpi Neskynilh Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected loss of Tqeltkukpi Mawgcen Neskynilh, Spelqweqs (Marcus Frank Sauls III) on November 14, 2021. Mawgcen was born September 18, 1981 and raised on Neskonlith Reserve #1. He devoted his life to helping everyone. Travelling the world and true to his traditional ways, which included being a fluent speaker of the old Secwepmec language.


Mawgcen is survived by his mother Karen. R. August, step-father Rocky Tomma, siblings Anthony Sauls, Frances August, Stephanie, Kyle Sauls and Brittani Tomma. He is also survived by his godmother Karin, nieces and nephews, along with numerous aunties (favourite being Freda August), uncles and cousins and Sundance family. Mawgcen will be missed by his family and friends.

Cherished memories of the good times and his teachings will be remembered. He was a true warrior right to the end.
