Jim Tysowski Obituary

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Jim Tysowski on January 13, 2022. Jim was born in Kamsack on December 18, 1945, and was the second oldest of four siblings. After graduating from high school in Kamsack, Jim joined the RCMP in March 1966 and graduated six months later. His first posting was in Chilliwack, BC. Jim spent his entire RCMP career with the "E" Division in British Columbia, with postings in Boston Bar, Princeton, Parksville, Salmo, Dawson Creek, Vancouver HQ, Coquitlam and Prince Rupert. He retired as a S/Sgt from Coquitlam Detachment as the Administration NCO in August 2004, with 38 1/2 years of proud service. Jim is predeceased by his parents, Tony and Julia and a niece, Mandi. He is survived by his daughter Keri (Tim) and grandson Dale (Devon) of Parksville; son Jay of Edmonton; sister Beatrice (Mert) of Canora; brother Jerry (Karen) of Moose Jaw; sister Deborah of Calgary; nephews Pat (Andrea), Mark (Candace); niece Stephanie (Andrew) and nephews Eric, and Ian (Meghan). Jim's ashes were interred at RCMP Depot on August 22, 2022.
