Larry George Seitz (75), of Pelly, Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly on April 15, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. A devoted father to his only daughter, Alexis Seitz, Larry was a deeply kind, caring, and thoughtful man. His vibrant personality and humorous spirit touched many throughout his robust life, leaving a legacy of laughter and warmth.
Larry will be remembered for his infectious laugh, engaging stories, and readiness to lend a hand. His life's roles included farmer, trucker, mechanic, storyteller, son, brother, dad, uncle, grandpa, maintenance man, and handyman. If something couldn't be fixed by Larry, it simply couldn't be fixed at all. From his childhood days on the farm with his brother Ken, causing mischief, to the many escapades he initiated or joined, Larry was truly a memorable character.
Born on May 19, 1948, in Kamsack, Saskatchewan, to his late parents, Josephine and William Seitz, Larry was predeceased by his brother Ken. He leaves behind his nephews, Ryan and Jordan Seitz; daughter, Alexis; and two grandchildren, Harrison (3) and Blake (2).
A "Life of Laughter" service will soon be held in Pelly, Saskatchewan, where he will be laid to rest next to his parents and brother. Details will follow. For those who had the pleasure of knowing Larry and wish to share their favourite moments with him, please email your stories to Alexis at
