Gail ELLISON Obituary

ELLISON (Webb), Gail Patricia It is with sadness that Gail's family announces her passing quietly into the presence of her Lord on October 18, 2017 in Orillia. Gail was born in Bracebridge on July 25, 1958 to Roger and Jeanne Webb and was raised in the family home on James Street with her brother, and three sisters. Gail was an adventurous soul and was the only one of her siblings who ventured far from their Muskoka roots. Over the years she lived in Ottawa, Banff and for the last eighteen years, Texas. She loved to travel and visited South Africa, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and South America. Gail was fun-loving, meticulous, had a great sense of humour - possessing a strong will and purpose. Her generosity and kindness for people in need and her desire to grow in her own faith led her to become a missionary with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). Through this association she worked in missions both in the Ukraine and Hollywood, CA. Gail worked as an Office Manager for most of her career and was known to be a highly efficient, well-respected, dedicated employee who was tireless in her effort to do the best job she could. She also expected the same from those she managed! When she received a terminal illness diagnosis in October 2016 she decided to return to her roots to be with her family. Predeceased by both parents in 1986 and brother, Jim, in 2000, Gail will be missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters, Barb Brady (Rob Myerscough), Valerie Welcher (Wayne) and Sandra Jones (Alan), nieces and nephews, sister-in-law Brenda Matt (Webb) and step-mother Eileen Webb. ""Absent from the body but present with the Lord."" Rest in Peace, dear sister. Until we meet again.
