It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Hugh on Saturday, November 6, 2021 in his 80th year.
Hugh leaves behind his beloved wife, Carolyn MacLennan. Predeceased by his first wife Joan and his parents, Hugh and Bessie MacLennan (nee Jones).
He will be dearly missed by his son, Douglas John MacLennan, and daughter, Carol Leanne Crane; his stepchildren, Jason Daniel Jessup (Debbie), and Cheryl Jessup (Mike).
Dear grandfather of Ian Crane, Ryan Jessup, Ashton Drake Daniel Jessup (Darianne).
Proud great-grandfather of Zoey and Paisley.
Dear brother of Colin MacLennan (d. Louise), and Jean Cottrel (d. Herb).
He will be lovingly remembered by brothers-in-law of Jim Cumberland (d. Wenda); sisters-in-law Lynda Kent (Richard), the late Dorothy Bailey (d. Bob), Debbie Bailey (Tom Bolton), George Bailey (d.), Edward Bailey, Wayne Bailey (Carol), Thomas Bailey (d.) (the late Michelle).
Hugh had the rich and fulfilling career of business owner to Hugh MacLennan & Sons Marina (The Boat Works) in Port Carling for 42 years. He also enjoyed being a member of the Port Carling Fire Department for 20 years. He had a passion and love of cars, especially the Hudson and he travelled the world making many memories throughout his journeys. He will be loved and missed by his family, friends, and all those who knew him.
Visitation will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m.

The service will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at 11 a.m. and will be live streamed.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hugh may be made to South Muskoka Memorial Hospital.
