Marion JENSEN Obituary

Passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2022 at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital at the age of 82. Born on May 28, 1939 in Dwight, Ontario to parents William and Dorothy (nee Robertson) Sluman. Marion married Paul Jensen in Dwight, Ontario on September 30th, 1961 and would spend the next 60 years together filled with much love, a lot of laughter and some tears. She is the cherished mother of Stephen and Suzanne (Shawn) Graham. Proud grandmother of Scott (Natasha) Graham, Cameron (Brittany) Graham and Hunter Graham. Great grandmother to Elijah and Hadley Graham. Marion will be dearly missed by her sisters Marnie (dec. Carmen), Isabel (dec. Joe) and Pat (Ron), sister in law Sally Suman and predeceased by her brother George Sluman, as well as sister in law Janet (Ken) Maw, sister in law Myrna (dec Ken) Jensen and predeceased by brother in law Tor.
Born and raised in Dwight, Ontario provided Marion with a strong sense of family and community, while ensuring her love and appreciation for the area and numerous friends in this small town. She loved spending her summer days, swimming and socializing on the Jensen (Sluman) corner of Dwight Beach, camping at Bon Echo Provincial Park and vacationing for many years in Cuba. Marion lived a full and remarkable life as a wonderful mother (both natural and adopted by many as such), homemaker, friend and co-worker before leaving the workforce to raise her children. She cherished each moment with her extended family and myriad of friends from all around the world. If one trait were used to describe Marion, it would be that she absolutely loved to entertain, whether small, or large groups of people. She had a magical quality of making others feel welcome, loved and cared for, within moments of meeting. We would be remiss in not mentioning her love of shopping, especially the years of marathon, week long "retail therapy" sessions at Christmas time with her sisters.
