Ronald PERRIER Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ronald Perrier, on Friday, March 4, 2022, at home in Bracebridge. He was in his 87th year. Ron was from Belleterre, Quebec where he met the love of his life, Pauline Paquin. They settled in Elliot Lake, Ontario and later lived in Mississauga, and finally Bracebridge. Ron owned his computer services company, working in the field of mining. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement years in Bracebridge, travelling between town and his beloved 'Turtle Island' cottage on Lake Muskoka. Family, golf, and curling were his passions. He skipped the 2016 Verve Provincial Grandmasters of Ontario Champion team. That same year, Team Ron Perrier also won the Norm Harkness Memorial Award for 'Bracebridge Team of the Year'. He was also very proud of his golf 'hole in one' in 2011 at South Muskoka. Ron and Pauline enjoyed travels to Europe including a trip to Italy they took in 2014 with their three children.
Beloved husband of 62 years to Pauline. Cherished father of Carole (Stephen McArthur), Marc (Juli), and Martin (Betty MacDonald), and cherished grandfather of Adrien, Michelle, Patrick, Mathieu, Elise, and Jocelyne. Beloved great-grandfather to Brighton. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his brother Lloyd (Mandy) and his sister Christina.
A Memorial Service will be held at Reynolds Funeral Home, 1 Mary Street in Bracebridge, on Saturday, March 19 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the service, at the funeral home. A reception will follow, at the South Muskoka Curling and Golf Club.
In lieu of flowers, and in memory of Ron, we ask that you please donate to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation (crohnsandcolitis.ca), the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (www.heartandstroke.ca), or to the charity of your choosing and may be arranged through Reynolds Funeral Home.
