Peacefully, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, surrounded by his family, on Friday, January 29, 2021, in his 88th year. Tony, beloved husband of 65 years to Lida (nee Spada). Predeceased by his parents Guido and Maria Viscardis. Loving and devoted father of Dennis (Linda), Mary Bencze (Brian), and Adrian (Tracy). Cherished Nonno of Laura, Robert (Katharine); Joseph (Olivia), Andrew; Anthony; and Bisnonno to Harrison. Predeceased by his sister Girolama Della Mora (Federico, predeceased). Beloved uncle of Walter (Mary) Della Mora, the late Debbie Marciello (Frank) and great uncle to many grand nieces and nephews. Dearly missed by Gianni and Dilva Piccotto and family, in Italy. He was co-founder and co-owner of D&V Tile Ltd. Tony loved being surrounded by his family, and was very proud of the accomplishments of both his children and grandchildren. He was an avid soccer fan, and, in 1980, became a founding member of the executive committee of the Peterborough City Soccer Association. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, paramedics, and the entire medical team of PRHC, for the care and compassion shown to Tony, during his brief time in their care. A Private Family Service will be held in the Chapel of Highland Park Funeral Centre, with Fr. Damian Smullen officiating. Interment Highland Park Cemetery. In memory of Tony and in lieu of flowers, donations to the PRHC Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. I am so saddened to hear of Tony's passing. He was a generous, warm person whose home I always felt so welcome in. I loved when he would show me around his beautiful garden which he was so proud of. His homemade wine and sausages were always so delicious. Thank you, Tony, for so many fond memories and laughs. Thinking of you at this difficult time, Lida, Mary, Dennis and Adrian.

Ever since I met Zio Tony, in the early eighties, he was always friendly, respectful and fun to be around. I loved the way he told stories of the experiences he had back in Italy and those he picked up, while here in Canada. A cheer, a smile, a tear and a wave to a good man.
