Elizabeth "Betty" WARES

Betty Wares (nee Nealy) passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on March 22, 2023 at the age of 93. She grew up in Toronto and helped run the Nealy's family store in Cabbagetown and the famous candy store in the Junction. In her twenties, she married David Wares, a farmer in the Brechin/Beaverton area and had four children, Kris, James, David and Scott. Later in life, she got into real estate and became very successful, winning many awards. She eventually remarried to Harry Dykeman and travelled quite extensively. Her interests lay in music, art, theatre, singing and travel, ETC. She was always curious and open to a new challenge.
She will be dearly missed.
