John MASON Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Thursday October 1st 2020. Born in Peterborough, ON, June 12th 1938 to the late Herbert and Violet Mason. Survived by his sister Nancy Wigg- Cummiskey, nephews Steven and David Wigg (Martha) and girls, niece Wendy (deceased). John will be missed dearly by his children Kerry Mason of Calgary Alberta and Laurie Mason (Larry) of Alberta. Predeceased by his daughter Patricia. Proud grandfather of Christie. John will be remembered by the special lady in his life Carol Simpson. As well as her family Duane (Deb) Jessup of Norwood, Blaine (Nancy) Jessup of Norwood and Blair (Rosanne) Jessup of White Rock B.C. Also Carol's grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss him so very much. Special great-grand daughter Nikita Davis will remember him always. A private Family interment will take place at Little Lake Cemetery at a later date. A celebration of life For John will take place in the late spring or summer of 2021, when and if the pandemic is over. His furry friend Mr. Mugs is still waiting at the door for him.

So sad to hear of Johns passing. He was a great person to work with, always laughing and great sense of humour. Loved our chats when we met in the grocery store. I will never forget, always during every conversation John would use the phrase “indeed”..
Carol and family, I Will miss him at our alumni luncheons and dinners when they hopefully start up again.
