Roger LeBlanc Obituary

August 2, 1939 to March 7, 2022
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Roger. He passed peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family where he wanted to be. At peace at last after his brave battle with cancer. Roger is survived by his loving and devoted wife Kathie (Kathleen), his children Dawn, Deneen (Craig), Justin (Kerry) and Deanne. His grandchildren Tannis (Marcus), Norman (Allison), Gordon (Sina), Julia (Reed) and Renee. His great grandchildren Ainsley, Rylan, Edwin and Malcolm. Sadly, he was never able to meet Rylan and Malcolm due to Covid. He is survived by eight loving sisters with one sister and two brothers predeceasing him. He is in the loving arms of his parents who also predeceased him many years ago. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews who always loved when he would visit his family in Windsor, Ontario. He will also be missed by his brothers in law, John (Nancy) and Jim (Pam) and many nieces and nephews on that side of the family as well. Roger was a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Load Master and then as an Officer. His engineering years were spent faithfully working for Underwriters Laboratories of Canada until retirement in 2001. Roger was a devoted family man who had a full long life. A problem solver, engineer, craftsman, carpenter, outdoorsman, sportsman, craft beer and wine maker among many other attributes. As his daughter has said "The world will be a little quieter and less vibrant without his physical presence" but his spirit and memories live on in all of us. A special thank you to Carol Ann and Ashley from Para Med for their exceptional nursing care of Roger at home. We will always be grateful. And to Dr. Perlis of UHN who was always reachable and treated Roger with dignity and respect. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in Roger's honor. Celebration of Roger's wonderful life will take place at a later date to be announced. Online condolences may be made at www.lakelandfuneralcentre.com. Rest in peace my love.
