CANNING, Shirley Frances Retired Long-time Sears Canada Employee Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at Extendicare Peterborough after a long battle with dementia at the age of 82. Beloved wife of Walter for over 63 years. Loving mother of Greg and his wife Shelly and Mark and his wife Michelle. Nana will be sadly missed by Steve, Jake (Tiffany), Brent (Michelle), Kayla and Zachary. Also a great-grandson expected soon. Loving sister of Gordon Martin (late Mary) and predeceased by brothers Allan (Anne) and Ivan (Marion) and parents George and Velma Martin. Also will be missed by many friends and relatives. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019 at the NISBETT FUNERAL HOME, 600 Monaghan Road South 705-745-3211. A funeral service will commence at 11 a.m. in the Nisbett chapel. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Peterborough and Dr. Spink for their care and compassion given during her eight year stay there.
