Stacy Ernest Wood

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing at home on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 of my twin brother and my best-friend, surrounded by his family and special friend Edith in his 47th year. Predeceased by his mother Shirley Wood, and grandparents Iva and Carmon Wood. Stacy is well known in this community where he worked at the fairgrounds (LEX) for over 25 years. He worked by my side on many other avenues. Stacy fought cancer for a year and a half. He fought with courage and bravery. He was always cheerful and ready to greet anyone that came into his path. I would like to thank Dr. M. Stone, Aunt Sheryl's nursing help and support, and Jennifer and Lisa from Paramed for their help nursing at home. Stacy will be dearly missed by myself, Scott Wood and will be remembered by the Wood Family including many aunts, uncles and cousins. A visitation took place at the Stoddart Funeral Home on Saturday, August 28th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 29th from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. A private family service was held at Stoddart Funeral Home on Monday, August 30th.
