Walter RINZEMA

1934 - 2021

Walter went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the age of 86. Born in Friesland, Holland on June 2, 1934 to Hendrick and Wimke (née Weening) Rinzema, Walter was the youngest of 12 children. He moved to Canada at the age of 19 where he met and married his wife of 63 years, Betty (née Matthews). Walter is survived by his wife Betty, daughters Lis (Dave), and Elaine, son Roy, five grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren as well as his friend Brian. Walter loved to sail, paint Dutch scenery, and his homeland, things were always better in Holland. Visitation took place at Jennings Creek Christian Reformed Church in Lindsay, Ontario on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation.
