Patricia Good Obituary
Of Stratford, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Stratford General Hospital on Friday, February 3, 2023. Born on July 19, 1938, in London, daughter of the late Thomas and Shirley (Gale) Stewart. Patricia is predeceased by her beloved husband Orville Good on August 5, 2009. Much-loved mother of Andrew and his wife Nohemy and her daughter Kathy Good and her husband Joe Lima. Proud grandmother of Francis, Gabriel, Eddie (Stephanie) and her great-grandson Colton. Patricia will be remembered by her loving sister Amy and her husband Wentworth Hogg and the entire Good family along with her many nieces and nephews.
A dedicated kindergarten teacher, Pat had many teaching colleagues that she remained close friends with throughout her retirement. While teaching, she completed her psychology degree, graduating with honours.
Pat was a long-time participant as well as long-time volunteer, leader and teacher with Taoist Tai Chi. She made many contributions with her leadership, sincerity and wisdom. As well as those contributions she also assisted with financial management, Seniors committees and data management. She was fearless and will be deeply missed.
Pat was an avid traveller. She was always excited to visit new destinations including New Zealand, Australia, China, India, Egypt, Europe and the Amazon.
Gardening, reading, quilting, and the Arts were her passions. She had a sense of adventure and an inquisitive mind.
Besides her husband Orville and her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her stepmother Vera Stewart and her sister Kathleen Love and her husband John. Family and friends are invited to attend the interment which will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Avonbank Cemetery (Avonbank, ON) at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of Patricia's life will follow the same day from 2-4 p.m. in the Reception Centre of the W. G. Young Funeral Home. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made directly by credit card to the Fung Loy Kok Institute of Taoism or the London Regional Cancer Program at LHSC or the Stratford General Hospital Foundation through the W.
