Richard Opiola Obituary

Surrounded by his loving family and after a long struggle with cancer, Richard Opiola passed away at age 65 on May 11, 2022 in Toronto.
Rick's love for design and aesthetic led to a career in graphic arts and photography and he continued his creative pursuits in retirement. Rick loved music and had an extensive record collection he gathered over a lifetime.
Rick leaves behind his loving wife Dorreen Loui, his mother Leokadia (pre-deceased by his father Boleslaw), his brothers Chris (Nancylynn), John (Heidi), nephews Geoffrey, Jeremy (Kim), Gregory (Christine), Jamie (Cassie), great niece Charlotte, great nephews Lucas, Brock, Cooper and Bentley, cousins David, Bogue (Barry), Krystyna (Dan), Hedi (Richard), Henry (Christina), Yola (Genek) and Uncle Tadzio. Rick is also survived by his mother-in-law Mee Harn Loui, brothers-in-law Danield, Dennis (Sandy), sisters-in-law Foon (Jerry), Doris (Ken) and Donna.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Church of the Holy Trinity at 19 Trinity Square on May 21 from 2 - 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Kensington Hospice in Toronto.

I'm sorry to here about the loss of your brother Chris. My deepest sympathy to the Opiola family. I did not meet your brother to often but when I did he was always smiling and laughing with us.
