It is with a great sadness and a heavy heart that our family announces the sudden passing of Viola on Saturday, September 4th, 2021 at the age of 53. She will forever remain in the hearts of her beloved children Rochelle, Gabriella, Marlaena and Mason, her mother, Eva-Maria and her sister, Angela. She will be remembered by family: her cousins, her aunt in Germany and her friends. She has been reunited with her father, Josef Muller and all of her grandparents. Viola grew up in Toronto where she graduated from St. Joseph's Morrow Park high school and then York University. She was an incredibly cheerful and optimistic person and brought her parents great joy with her four children. Family was important to her and she spent birthdays, Easters, Christmases and many, many cottage weekends together with her family and her parents. Later, after she moved to Welland, she would focus her good will on the friends around her that needed help. Viola met the challenges she faced in her later years with optimism. She worked very hard to overcome those challenges and was sure she would succeed. Her goal was to write a bestseller about the interesting people, places and experiences that had crossed her path in life. She will be sorrowfully missed and be forever in our hearts. The family will receive relatives & friends at JJ Patterson & Sons Funeral Residence, 19 Young Street, Welland, on Friday, September 17th from 11-12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at The Parish Community of St. Kevin at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In keeping with current Covid-19 Provincial Restrictions, capacity is limited within the funeral home. Masks and social distancing while waiting to enter are mandatory.
