HORTON, Arthur John Passed away peacefully in his 101st year on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Arthur was born in Port Robinson and lived the majority of his life in Welland. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 50 plus years May (nee Simpson) and devoted wife Colleen (nee Curly). Loving father of Karen Horton (Mike Davenport), Keith Horton (Darlene), Janice Calver (John deceased 2016) (Glen Wark) and Johnny Horton (Roelina). Cherished grandfather of Lynn Minnett, Debbie Horton, Susan Dorling, Shelley Boon (John), Todd Horton (Charleen), Jodi Hildebrandt (Rob), Laura Dorling-Van Der Oord (Friso), Cindy Stewart (Ryan), Jennifer Gordon (Eric) and Robin Horton (Jesse Chamberlain). Also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Laura Horton, sisters Dorothy, Anna and Mary and brothers Jim and Wesley Horton. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the HAINE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 26 Ormond Street South, Thorold on Saturday, October 27th from 11:00-11:30 a.m. Masonic Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service. Interment to follow. Please join the family at the Fonthill Legion following the cemetery.
