Charles DAVIES Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and deep sadness that we announce the passing of our Dad, on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at the age of 61. Charles, better known as "Chuck' was born in Hamilton in 1959. Son of Lisa and Bill Davies, and brother to Martin Davies, all of Grimsby. Also survived by his wife Jane of 30 years, four children, Sarah (Kyle), Michael, Matthew, and Emma, grandson Tate, best friends Doug, Dino, John, Mark, and Wyatt, sister and brothers-in-law John and Angela Andrews, Bart and Rob Lane. and son-in-law to Brian and Joan Waring. Proudest Uncle Chuck to Wil, Johnson (Erin), Aleigh (Brad), Robbie and Lila.
Chuck dedicated his life to his friends, work (Welland Honda), but most importantly his family and four children. Not a day passed where he wasn't with his kids. Chuck was happiest at the rink watching all of his kids, nieces, and nephews play hockey. He was also a huge Niagara Ice Dogs fan, and special fan of Johnson Andrews, and Akil Thomas. He loved to go fishing with Matthew, walk his dog Maggie in Port Dalhousie, spend Saturdays with Doug playing shuffle board and listening to music, Sunday trips to the flea market, and most recently being Tate's "Pops".
Due to current Covid-19 restrictions and keeping with Chuck's wishes, we will celebrate his life when it is safe to gather again.
In lieu of flowers, our family would greatly appreciate donations to Niagara's Rankin Cancer Run.

I just heard about Chuck's passing. Eva, Ryan, Erik and I are very sorry for your loss. I first met Chuck way back when he ran the tyke select team at Kiwanis the first year that Ryan played and we had a great season, lots of fun. Ryan played hockey with Matthew and lacrosse with both Matthew and Michael over the years and Chuck was always the epitome of the parent who loved to be around his kids sports and was proud of their achievements and he had a lot to be proud of. He was fun to be around, we always had a good time at tournaments. We lost touch over the last few years with the boys not playing sports any more an being away at school but I could always count on having a chat with him at the rink when Michael was in town to play the Ice Dogs. Chuck will be missed by many people.

So sorry to hear the news. I remember Chuck from playing Grimsby Grizzlies football. It's great to hear how much he enjoyed the kids sports.

So Sad to hear this. Chuck was a neighbor with whom we watched our kids grow up. May God comfort you all. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

I can say very honestly, Chuck was one of the nicest men I've ever met. A true sports fan and a terrific business man. When we first met in a hockey rink and then later in business he always greeted me with a firm handshake and a broad smile. Chuck always had time for a great conversation and chat. RIP Chuck ...My sincere condolences to his family.
