Corey William KOVACS

KOVACS, Corey William Corey William Kovacs passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at 47 years of age. Corey leaves behind his beloved wife and partner of 22 years, Gaby and his children Daniela and Nicholas, step-son Brandon, and mother-in-law Heidi. He also leaves behind his cherished siblings Sandy (Tom), Kim (Maria), Cindy (Len), Wendy (Dustin), Mike (Yachi), Mark and Chris. As well, he leaves behind his loving aunts Corrie Moore and Joanne Butler (John) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Corey is now reunited with his parents Anna Marie (2010) and George (2011) Kovacs, and father-in-law Peter (2012). Corey was a brilliant and talented chef, artist and culinary instructor. Corey took great pride in teaching and leading students in the cooking arts from Niagara College, Humber College, George Brown College, Centennial College and Liaison College, and inspired hundreds of his students with his passion for cooking and gastro creations; he was widely renowned for his confectionery masterpieces. Corey would provide magnificent meals for family and friends during special occasions, or even just on a whim. Corey will not only be sadly missed by his family and friends, but in both the culinary and educational communities. The family would like to send a very special thanks to Mr. Peter Skarpa for his love and support during our time of grief and sorrow. Per his request, cremation will take place. A private grave side service will be held on Friday, October 12th and he will be laid to rest next to his loving parents. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lincoln County Humane Society, Community Care of Niagara or Out of the Cold.
