Edwin Gerald "Jerry" McCalmon

After a brief illness, on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at 90 years of age. Gerald was the devoted husband of Marilyn (nee Schaubel) for 63 years. Loving father of Brian (Sandra) and Barbara (Jeff) Ott. Treasured and much-loved Poppa/Gramps of Melissa and Chad Ott. Loving brother of Mavis (Ray) Climenhage and Jane (William) Kalyns. He's an uncle to many nieces, nephews and their families. He's predeceased by his siblings: Wilma (John) Hoover Albert (Wanda), Hugh (Edith), Glen, Ronald, Tress (Watson) Jones. Gerald enjoyed spending time with family and tending to the yard by cutting the grass and looking after the gardens when he was not walking the dogs. While out walking the dogs he stopped to chat with many neighbours and met many new friends along the way over the years.
In honouring Gerald's wishes a private family service has taken place. Memorial donations to The Niagara SPCA-Welland Humane Society or Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
