GYURKOVICS, Frank Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, May 13, 2018 in his 86th year. Frank is survived by his loving wife Eva of 52 years. Beloved Father of Eva Jr. (Joseph Kantor), Frank Jr., and Marta (Andrew Gilchrist). Adoring brother to Erika Szell. Frank will be missed by his grandchildren Kyle, Iain, Anja, Adam, Nicholas, and Helena. Predeceased by his brother Tibi. Born in Budapest, Hungary, Frank first arrived in Canada in Saint John, New Brunswick in 1956 and eventually made his way to Welland, Ontario where he stayed for the remainder of his life. As an active member of the community, Frank was a founding member of the Hungarian Hunting and Fishing Club of Welland, a long-standing member of the Hungarian Self Culture Society of Welland, and a proud member of the Welland Rose City Legion Br. 4. Frank enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing and playing soccer with his friends and family. After 36 years working for Canada Forge in Welland, Frank enjoyed his retirement making everyone around him enjoy life as much as he did. His laughter, outgoing nature, and friendship will be missed. Frank's family will receive visitors at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Home , 241 West Main Street, Welland on Wednesday, May 16th at 11 a.m. followed immediately by a Memorial Service, in the Cudney Chapel at 12 p.m. Special thank you to Dr. Malcolm and the nursing staff at the I.C.U.
